🎶 Live Music at Tomorrow’s Verse Taproom 🎶
Good beer. Good friends. Good music. Good times.
Tomorrow’s Verse is a neighborhood taproom built by music lovers for music lovers. We love bringing incredible musicians into an intimate room where you can grab a beer, find a seat, meet your neighbors, and experience live music up close.
We’ve got a great stretch of music coming up, from bluegrass and Brazilian choro to jazz, funk, Jerry Garcia, and whatever wonderfully hard-to-define territory Mexican Gunfight occupies.
Here’s what’s coming up:
🪕 Tuesdays at 7 PM — Bluegrass & Brews
One of Portland’s longest-running bluegrass jams and, in our admittedly biased opinion, the BEST. Some of the area’s finest pickers gather every Tuesday for an evening of bluegrass, old-time tunes, improvisation, and plenty of surprises. Come to play or just grab a beer and listen. You absolutely do not need to bring an instrument to be part of the night.
No cover.
🎷 Saturday, Sept. 12 at 8 PM — Future Ensemble
Jazz, funk, rock and improvisation collide for a night that should feel right at home at Tomorrow’s Verse. Future Ensemble brings together serious musicianship with grooves that can stretch out, change direction, and go wherever the night takes them.
$10 advance / $15 day of show.
🌹 Saturday, Sept. 19 at 8 PM — Rhapsody In Red
A celebration of the music of Jerry Garcia. Come spend an evening with the songs, sounds and spirit that have kept generations of Deadheads listening, dancing and gathering together. If Jerry’s music means something to you, this is your kind of Saturday night.
$10 advance / $15 day of show.
🇧🇷 Sunday, Sept. 27 at 2:30 PM — Brazilian Roda de Choro
One of our favorite Sunday afternoon traditions. Tim Connell and Sean Watson lead an acoustic roda de choro featuring the beautiful, intricate and endlessly melodic music of Brazil. It’s part concert, part musical gathering, and a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon with a drink in hand.
No cover.
🎸 Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7 PM — Bobby Vega & Friends
We’re thrilled to welcome Bobby Vega back to Tomorrow’s Verse. A legendary Bay Area bassist with a career spanning funk, rock, soul and the improvisational music world, Bobby has played with an incredible list of artists over the decades. In a room our size, you get to experience it from just a few feet away — exactly the kind of night we love hosting.
Sliding-scale donation.
🔥 Saturday, Oct. 3 at 8 PM — Mexican Gunfight
Mexican Gunfight returns to Tomorrow’s Verse for a Saturday night of rock & roll, roots, psychedelia, country, soul and whatever else they decide to throw into the mix. They’re a Portland band that’s tough to squeeze into one genre — which is a big part of why we dig them.
$10 advance / $15 day of show.
Tomorrow’s Verse isn’t a giant concert hall, and we don’t want to be one. We’re a neighborhood taproom where you can see incredible musicians in an intimate setting, run into people you know, meet people you don’t, and actually feel like you’re part of the room.
Come for the music. Stay for a beer. Meet your neighbors.
