Thank you and everyone who has come out to support my little vegan dream. 🙏🏼💚🥹

Three short years ago, I was just doing hair in my little corner of the world. Now, thanks to everyone here, I'm celebrating being named Best Vegan Chef.

It's a surreal moment for me as I've only been vegan since 2019. I sometimes feel like I'm undeserving of recognitions like this, but I'm learning to embrace this new life of mine and to stand proudly in what I've accomplished in three years. All the love that the vegan community has poured into me will continue to inspire me to create and share more with y'all. I'm excited for what the future holds and I always grateful for everyone's love and encouragement.

I hope my story is a little reminder that your dreams are never beyond your reach. You just gotta start the journey and keep going! 💚🙏🏼

As a child who has to escape in a fishing boat from a war torn country, I believe that indiscriminate bombing only hurts and injure innocent lives. That trauma and pain will carry on for these innocent lives for years and generations to come.

Please take a moment to watch and listen to this video all the way to the end. I encourage us to lead with compassion before any of us speak on this matter bc our words can and will hurt & harm innocent people who are already suffering.

Also, a gentle reminder that Palestinian freedom is also indigenous freedom.

If someone had told me three years ago, that I would be blessed to be listed among all these talented chefs and creatives, I would have laughed in your face. When I did my first IG live in 2020, to share my vegan pork belly, my biggest hope was to share some good Vietnamese vegan creations and hopefully highlight the beauty of Vietnamese culture. Now, just three years later, I'm living a life I couldn't even allow myself to dream. To say that I'm grateful and deeply humbled is an understatement.

Thank you for everyone who helped me get here. 🙏🏼 A big congratulations to all the Portland chefs and businesses on this list. Portland is lucky to y'all!
