Travel has always been a part of my education. As an immigrant, every place I visit teaches me something new about culture, people, and food. Mexico City gave me a deeper appreciation for the tradition and soul behind dishes like Birria and the stories behind them. That’s what inspires the food we create at Mestizo.
Some people travel to collect photos. I travel to collect stories.
It’s my hope that when you order Birria here at .pdx you can taste the tradition and depth behind it. ☺️
