In case some of you haven't heard, Second Childhood moved to Centre St. A place you can see them from the road. We're so happy for them and can't wait to do some collabs! Go see them!

💜 A LITTLE HEART-TO-HEART FROM TAMAR 💜

As we open the doors to our beautiful new location, there's something I've been reflecting on. 🫶

Nearly 50 years ago, my mom created Second Childhood with a vision of helping families stretch their budgets while giving beautiful items a second life. What she built has served generations of families in our community, and I couldn't be more grateful for the legacy she created.

✨ It is truly one of the greatest gifts of my life to continue the business she started in 1976!

But over the years, I've noticed something surprising. One of the most common things people say to me is: “I thought you only sold baby and children's clothes." And honestly, I understand why. The name Second Childhood naturally makes people think of babies and young children. The funny thing is... we've carried teen and adult clothing for decades.

We've always been much more than a children's store. We've been a FAMILY consignment store 🍃💜✨

✨ Adults

For years, people have walked through our doors expecting baby clothes and left with outfits for themselves.

As we begin this next chapter, my hope is to reclaim and expand the incredible legacy my mom created by helping more people understand who we truly are.

Second Childhood has never been just for children. It's for the entire family.

💜 Generations of families.
💜 Nearly 50 years of community.

And now, from a location where more people can finally discover what we've been offering all along. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Full Transparency: Growing pains are tough for small businesses. 13 Cookies is on the verge of a pivotal year of growth. More announcements coming soon.

The process to do so is going to take all of our efforts, while still maintaining quality and integrity. Social media may take a backseat from time to time. With that said, if you want to know how we're doing, stop by and see us! Even if it's just to say "hi"! We love our customers and support groups that have kept us going all these years!

We are going to be heads down and focused for the next half of this year. Would not have it any other way. Please give us grace as we go through this next chapter. We may have to run specials a few weeks longer at times and shorter at other times. No matter what, we will always put fresh quality flavors in our case.

We love you Greater Kalamazoo! We can't wait to share our good news with you as we go through this crazy thing called life!
