Duluth Trading has brought back the sandwich enjoyed for decades in the same location. So stop in for a hot cup of Joe and the best fish sandwich you've ever wrapped your lips around. Tender, delicious perch supplied by Ewig Bros. of Port Washington; it's fried and served with tartar sauce on a fresh baked roll, just as it was in the glory years of the 1930s through the 1960s. The rest of the menu likewise nods to the rich heritage of Port Washington and the Smith Bros. Locally-sourced items include meats from Bernie's Fine Meats and bakery and fresh roasted coffee from Colectivo. Of course, you'll also find traditional café fare including pastries, bagels and juice, cookies, coffee, sodas and sandwiches. Enjoy them by the fireplace, with historical photos on the wall, a view of Lake Michigan's prettiest marina right outside the window.
