๐ธ Happy Motherโs Day from Ikedo Japanese Restaurant! ๐ธ
"You canโt see them, but they are there.
Unseen things are still there."
This Motherโs Day, we are drawing inspiration from the beautiful words of Japanese poet Kaneko Misuzu. In her poem, Stars and Dandelions, she reminds us that the most powerful things in lifeโlike stars during the day or the deep roots of a flowerโare often the ones we cannot see.
A motherโs love is exactly like that. It is the quiet strength, the unseen support, and the constant warmth that stays with us through every season. This Sunday, letโs make that "unseen" love visible and celebrate the women who do it all.

POEM by Kaneko Misuzu (circa 1920s)
Stars and Dandelions
Deep in the blue sky,
like pebbles at the bottom of the sea
lie the stars unseen in daylight until night comes.
You canโt see them, but they are there
Unseen things are still there.
The withered, seedless dandelions
hidden in the cracks of the roof tile
wait silently for spring,
their strong roots unseen.
You canโt see them, but they are there.
Unseen things are still there.
