Palapas” (a Spanish word of Mayan origin, meaning "pulpous leaf") are open-sided dwellings with a thatched roof made of dried palm leaves that adorned the sunny Mexican beaches. At large palapas people enjoy the cool breeze while having ice cold beers, Tequila shots and Margaritas, listening to lively music and of course, eating delicious home made Mexican favorites!

Our restaurant is family owned & operated, where you’ll enjoy refreshing spirits and our succulent Jalisco style recipes while relaxing in a friendly atmosphere! We are located in the heart of Port Orchard, Downtown Port Orchard at the Marina. The Marina Park, with its boardwalk and covered gazebo, offers beach access and is the site of the summer outdoor Farmer's Market. You can also take the "foot ferry" to Bremerton for more sight seeing and meet us back at La Palapa for dinner!
