Hidden beneath the busy streets of Istanbul lies one of the city's most mysterious treasures: Yerebatan SarnΔ±cΔ±.

Built in 532 AD during the reign of Emperor Justinian I, this massive underground cistern was designed to store water for the Great Palace and surrounding buildings. Supported by 336 marble columns rising from the water, it feels more like an underground palace than a reservoir.

One of its most famous features is the two Medusa heads resting beneath columns in the far corner of the cistern. Historians still debate why they were placed there, adding an extra layer of mystery to this remarkable structure.

For centuries, the cistern quietly sat beneath the city, forgotten by many above. Today, visitors can walk along its illuminated pathways, hear the gentle sound of dripping water, and experience a piece of Istanbul's incredible past.

More than 1,500 years later, Yerebatan SarnΔ±cΔ± remains a reminder that some of history's greatest wonders are hidden just beneath our feet.

Long before the stories of knights, kings, and dragons, there was Troy, one of the most legendary cities in human history.

Located near modern-day Γ‡anakkale, Turkey, Troy became famous through Homer's epic poem, the Iliad, which tells the story of the Trojan War. According to legend, the war lasted ten years and ended when the Greeks used a giant wooden horse to secretly enter the cityβ€”giving us the famous phrase "Trojan Horse."

Archaeologists later discovered that Troy was not just a myth. In the 1870s, excavations revealed the remains of multiple ancient cities built on top of one another, proving that Troy had existed for thousands of years.

Today, visitors can walk among the ancient ruins, see the reconstructed Trojan Horse, and stand where history, archaeology, and legend meet.

Did the Trojan War happen exactly as the stories tell us? Historians still debate that question. But one thing is certain:
