One year ago, just days before Christmas 2024, we lost a brother in service. A Deputy who put on the uniform each day with courage, integrity, and a commitment to protect others—no matter the cost.

As the holidays return, so does the weight of his absence. His sacrifice is not forgotten. We remember his dedication, his bravery, and the life he lived beyond the badge—the colleague, friend, and loved one taken far too soon.

Today, we honor his memory and stand beside his family, friends, and fellow Deputies. May we continue to carry his legacy forward by serving with the same strength, compassion, and selflessness he showed every day.

Gone, but never forgotten. Always remembered. Always honored. Sgt. Elio Diaz.
