This October, come indulge in our Banana Mostachón Cake — a light, crunchy-meets-creamy dessert made with a cracker & nut meringue cake, topped with banana sweet cream cheese icing and fresh sliced bananas. 🍌
🇲🇽 So, what exactly is Mostachón?
Mostachón is a beloved Mexican dessert especially associated with northern Mexico, including Monterrey and the state of Nuevo León. Unlike a traditional flour-based cake, its signature base is a rustic meringue folded with crushed crackers and nuts, creating a texture that's simultaneously crisp, chewy and airy. Traditionally topped with a creamy filling and fresh fruit, it has become a favorite for celebrations and family gatherings.
At Trout Street, we're giving that tradition our own spin with BANANA — rich banana sweet cream cheese icing, sliced bananas and that unmistakable crunchy Mostachón base. 🤤
