This picture shows an empty pub.
But the memories and stories these stools could tell…
Fifteen years ago, Nextdoor opened its doors during a time when downtown Port Angeles was struggling. Storefronts were empty, foot traffic was down, and our downtown needed people willing to believe in it again. We took a chance on downtown — and became part of the energy that helped bring people back, fill the sidewalks, and breathe new life into the heart of our community. We’re incredibly proud to have grown right alongside it.
Fifteen years of first dates and last calls. Birthday dinners, celebrations, reunions, heartbreaks, belly laughs, and “just one more.”
Fifteen years of regulars who became friends, strangers who became regulars, employees who became family, and countless people who have walked through these doors and left a little piece of their story behind.
These tables have watched friendships grow, families change, babies grow up, relationships begin, and more life happen than we could ever fit into one post.
There have been packed Friday and Saturday nights, quiet afternoons, crazy summers, long winters, good years, hard years, and everything in between.
And somehow… 15 years later, here we are.
Nextdoor has never just been about the food or the drinks. It’s been about the people sitting on these stools, gathered around these tables, working behind the bar, cooking in the kitchen, and choosing to come back again and again.
So today, we’re raising a glass to 15 years of Nextdoor Gastropub — and to every single person who has been part of the story.
Thank you for giving these empty stools so many stories to tell.
Cheers to 15 years, Port Angeles. 🍻
And we’re nowhere near done yet.
