September is a pretty great time to explore the Peninsula.

The summer crowds are starting to thin, the air feels a little crisper, and there’s still plenty of daylight for getting outside.

Spend the day exploring Olympic National Park, wander along Lake Crescent, take in the views from Hurricane Ridge, or simply hit the road and see where the day takes you.

Then come back to the harbor, kick back, and do it all again tomorrow. 🌲🌊

🚧🌲 TRAVEL NOTE FOR OUR WEST SIDE FRIENDS!

Planning a fall getaway to Port Angeles? If you're traveling from the west side of the Olympic Peninsula, be sure to check the latest travel information before you hit the road.

The Hoh River Bridge on US 101, south of Forks, will have upcoming full closures for emergency repairs, which means travelers between the northern and southern portions of the Peninsula will need to allow extra time and take the alternate route around the east side.

But don't let a little road work keep you from your fall adventure! 🍂🌊

Plan ahead, give yourself some extra travel time, and we'll be ready to welcome you to Port Angeles. ❤️

Check current road conditions and closure information before you travel, and we'll see you at the harbor! Road Closures are currently scheduled from Sept. 14 - Oct 13. 🌊
