We wanted to give a little context to the community that had supported us over the last year and a half. In March, I (Jason) had a mild stroke. As a family we prayed, cried a little and ultimately made the decision to sell the restaurant/ building. We listed the property and discussed our plans with our employees. Together we decided to stay open and continue serving the community. We decided not to hire new employees during this transition. Instead, we decided that as employees found suitable employment elsewhere we would all pull the extra weight until it was too much. That time came Saturday after lunch. We would like to thank our friends and family, the community for supporting this endeavor, and especially every employee for making The Blue Catfish successful.

As many of you know, The Blue Catfish building is for sale. Due to staffing issues during this process, we have made the difficult decision to close permanently at this time. Thank you to our many loyal Customers for a wonderful year and a half! It has been great meeting and getting to know you all while serving you. Now, on to the next adventure!
