There’s a bank in Old Town Pompano that used to be exactly that, a bank. Back in 1922, it was robbed at gunpoint by the Ashley Gang, and now it’s one of Pompano’s best nights out.
Walk in and it’s full speakeasy energy, mugshots on the wall, the original vault door still standing, live music playing most nights. The patio stays packed.
The food backs it up too. Crab rangoons, wings, a double smash burger dripping in bourbon peppercorn aioli, a crispy shrimp bowl over coconut rice, and a Chocolate Old Fashioned that somehow has its own backstory too.
Wouldn’t this be on your Broward Bucket List? 🌴
