It is with mixed feelings that we announce that after 37 years, our dad, Jaime Lepe, has decided
to “retire.” As of Monday (4/15/19), JML Mexican Restaurants, Inc. no longer owns Mexico Lindo Restaurant.
Our dad worked countless hours and took very few short trips in the past 37 years (I do not think we can even use the word vacation when it comes to our Dad). He took great pride in his work and no task was too menial for him. I am sure that many of you saw him cleaning the parking lot or possibly even saw him down Garey Avenue with his leaf blower. He loves to clean, even areas that are not owned by him, hence why you would see him down Garey Avenue.
As they say, work hard and play hard. However, our dad only got part of the memo, and he only worked hard. We hope that now he can have more time to go on actual vacations and spend time with his grandchildren. Although our dad has “retired,” we have a feeling you may see him at Tropical Mexico Restaurant as that restaurant has not been sold.
We want to THANK all of our patrons for the continued support all these years. Some of you have known us since we were babies since we grew up in the restaurant. As children, we would do our homework there, eat dinner while our parents worked, and even took naps on the booths when it got too late. Once we got older, we started working and had the pleasure of interacting with our patrons.
We also want to THANK our employees who stuck by our side all these years and helped our dad successfully run the restaurant for so many years.
We wish the new owners the best of luck!
