Hi sweet friends!
I realized I’ve never properly introduced myself, so if you’re new here (or have been following for a while), welcome!
My name is Angela, and I’m the owner of Angela’s Sweet Treats. I’m 22 years old and a pastry chef with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastry Arts from The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. I’m also ServSafe Certified and have been fortunate enough to work in some incredible kitchens in Philadelphia, including Morimoto, Parc, and the Fitler Club.
Baking has always been so much more than just a hobby for me—it’s something I truly love with my whole heart. It’s my passion, my creative outlet, and something I pour myself into every single day.
When I first started this business, it was only meant to be a side job while I planned on moving back to Philadelphia. I never imagined it would grow into what it has today. Thanks to all of you, what started as a small passion project has turned into something so much bigger than I ever expected.
Because of your support, I’ve decided to continue building my dream right here in the beautiful Poconos.
Today, I create all of my products out of the wonderful Chat n Chew Cafe, and I hope to have my own storefront in the near future. Every loaf of bread, pastry, cake, and dessert is made with so much love and pride.
While sourdough has definitely become my signature (I mean… it’s pretty obvious! 😂), I also create decorative cakes, wedding cakes, holiday menus, custom desserts, and so much more.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been teaching my sourdough classes. There is nothing better than seeing your excitement and receiving photos of the beautiful bread you’ve baked at home after taking one of my classes. Watching others gain confidence in the kitchen is something I’ll never get tired of.
To everyone who has purchased a loaf, ordered a cake, taken a class, shared one of my posts, recommended me to a friend, or simply cheered me on—thank you. Your support has helped make this dream possible, and I truly couldn’t do it without you.
If you’ve ever enjoyed something from Angela’s Sweet Treats, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could leave a review. Reviews mean the world to small businesses like mine and help us grow more than you know.
I’d also love to get to know you! Leave a comment below and let me know how you found my page or what your favorite thing you’ve ordered has been.
Here’s to continuing this journey together, and hopefully opening my own bakery doors one day. ❤️
Thank you all for believing in me.
— Angela
