As you all know , I have put my name on the ballot to run for city council for ward 2 position 1 for the city of Pocahontas. I have not collected one penny from anyone and will refuse any donations. I will not be wasting any money on a ton of signs to clutter up the city ! I will be taking off next week to get some information flowing, do some research and get my campaign (opinion ) going. There’s been a lot go on, more to come, some good, some bad, but either way, we gotta work together, be transparent, be honest, and most of all, protect our people and represent our people by making good decisions! A good decision does not mean that it’s going to satisfy everyone!! You can call me anytime with any concerns or questions you may have, I’m a straight shooter, if you don’t want my answer, ask someone else who will tell you what you want to hear ! I’m not running against anyone, I’m running for everyone! I promise to do my research, look at every vote from all sides and perspectives ! So if you live in the city limits of Pocahontas, I am asking for your vote ! Thank you and see you on the 28th with cooler temps! It’s been pretty brutal lately!!

I just want to take a moment and thank each and every one of those who support us ! We appreciate you more than you’ll ever know ! It’s makes me proud that I have chosen to keep my prices low and count my losses ! It means more to us to have the relationship I have with our patrons !

When you get a 3 day/holiday weekend, you do jerky to keep up with demand! Very good positive feedback on the hot ! Got a new ingredient coming in next week to possibly make it even hotter…. I mean better ! Thank you to all my jerky junkies !!!! Happy Labor Day to everyone!

I’ve done a little experimenting with my beef jerky, I’ve added a little more fire to it so if you like a little more heat, come get it while it last ! I only have 12 bags left from this sample batch ! I need some feedback. Got a different heat coming for those who like it real hot !

Sunday night update on Teresa! She’s home, she’s feeling better but a little (whole lot) upset! We went to ER here and they sent her to Jonesboro To St Bernard’s because of her blood pressure and in order to get that up, she needed a dopamine shot and it had to be done in the ICU. She gets there and they bypass the ICU and take her straight to her room. We went to asking questions yesterday as to why they’ve never done anything other than give her the usual medicine she takes here and put her on oxygen…… comes to find out, there was nothing about her blood pressure or heart issues on her record, they were literally trying to treat her for COPD. So we will be closed a few more days to return her to her dr and get her started with a heart dr to see what’s going on !!! Thank you all for the calls and text of concern!!! We will update again as we figure this out because they sure don’t know!
