Good morning, friends. It's been a while since I've been on here; I do miss everyone. I'm reaching out today because many of you are from the Plymouth area and would probably like to hear about this special announcement. a longtime friend and former employee of mine, (Mimi) has had a tough battle on her hands, and I want to help. You might remember her working at my store; she's an awesome person, a devoted wife, and an amazing mother of five. She’s an Army veteran and former school bus driver for the town of Plymouth, in which she had to give up her job because of this horrible disease! Cancer Sucks! ,

Another friend of their family, put together a GoFundMe page, which seems to be helping a little, yet, i've decided to help Mimi and her family in my own way by donating my ticket sales from a upcoming music event, in which I’ll be performing with my band CHAOTIC.. Yes I'm selling tickets to a fun music event on July 12th @ the Bridgewater Vets Club; tickets are $20, and the money raised from Chaotic will go to a great cause. The event will also feature 2 other really fun and exciting bands on that same day. REVIVAL and ADHD🎸🎸. If you enjoy live music and would like to help out. or someone you know would like to be apart of this day, please buy a ticket. Thank you and god bless.

Following up on my post from yesterday, I received a disturbing comment from what most would call a troll attack. A troll is someone who intentionally posts or comments online to upset others. This person attacked my post because he seems to be a hater. I deleted his comment because it was totally uncalled for. I owned and operated my business for eight amazing years with pride and joy. Obviously, I was successful for all those years until inflation and COVID struck. Otherwise, I wouldn't have opened a satellite on Nelson Beach and almost opened a second Sngelos in Stoughton, MA, until my mom fell ill. Through all of it, I paid my employees very well, and I had paid into payroll services, which covered employee taxes. I took care of the homeless, paid it forward countless times, and was always giving to all uniformed officers, including hospitals. Heck, I even took care of the mailman. Despite the hard times, I always felt the need to give back. In my final three years of business, I got upside down, just like many businesses. I had to take from Peter to pay Paul. Correct me if I'm wrong, but many businesses have gone under and needed to close. It's not a good feeling because it doesn't just affect the owner but also affects employees. For that, I was sad. Unless you have been in business, you would never know how difficult it is to tell someone they need to find another job. It's no secret. I created back taxes, and I'm taking care of it. Bankruptcy is helping me get back on my feet. I’m now back on my own doing what I grew up knowing, remodeling homes. Now if I may, To all the haters out there, F**K YOU for trying to break me. It’ll never happen, but thank you for making me stronger!

To all tourists who have reached out to see if we're still open, I'm sorry to say that, due to the difficulty of inflation and rising food costs, we had no choice but to close in November 2023. Thank you for your support throughout the years.

Good morning everyone. I hope this post finds you all doing well.

I’ve been wanting to reach out for a while now. A lot of you were surprised to hear that my doors closed suddenly back in November. The reason for my departure was a bit more than me just wanting to see my son more often. If that was the case I’d be spending time with him on weekends in Washington as we speak.

The main reason for the closing of my store was that I was overwhelmed with debt and digging a very big hole! I probably should’ve closed 2 years ago but I continued to hope for prices to drop in which I was forced to take from Peter to pay Paul.

I opened my doors Dec 21st 2017. The numbers have proved that All of 2018 was my best year of business on paper. However’ I had to fully staff my deli so that I could help my mother with her health. That came with a huge payroll cost $$

When my mother passed in the early part of 2019, I took on the responsibility of caring for my older brother who happens to be develop mentally disabled. I did that for 4 years. I’m happy I helped him but it was hard!

In 2020 we had to run the business through Covid-19 (the pandemic) and then inflation. So the truth is, I never really got to enjoy my store as much as I wanted to. It was a hard 5+ years for me.
I’m not going to lie, I did do my best to wear a happy face, but it wasn’t easy. Every time i’d try to do something for myself like buy something “nice”, i’d find myself selling it a short time later, just to keep my business going! Yea not fun!

I did everything by the books. I followed the rules and regulations of the health department, because I care about people. Heck, the health inspectors ate at my store once a week. For that, I was proud!
I had payroll running since day 1, in which all the employees taxes got paid including Medicare and unemployment etc.
the one thing that I can admit not doing so well was staying on top of my meals taxes!
Every restaurant has meals tax and it’s supposed to be paid monthly. I got behind on it because every time I saved that months worth of it, I’d have another big bill to pay!

So the moral of this story is this, because I got behind on my meals tax, I had no choice to close. All my bills were way past due and I couldn’t afford to keep going. I’m in the process of filing for bankruptcy and dealing with the D.O.R and it’s not fun! I also had to give up my home and go back to construction. Before closing down I had a few small local businesses that I used their services for my store in which they understood. Well all but 1.

Last March I finally found placement for my brother. He’s doing well and for that I’m happy. As I mentioned earlier, I’m back to doing construction. It’s called Richards Remodeling and I have a Fb page. For the past 3 months I’ve been doing kitchen and bath remodeling. This is my background. I owned A.Monsini construction for over 15 years.

The restaurant industry was a basically dream. I’m glad I did it, but I don’t miss the stress it brings. I want to thank all of my friends and family that have been there for me as I continue to keep pushing and grinding each and every day.
Throughout all of this, I’ve never stopped believing. And I truly believe that my biggest passions like, music and fitness have helped me keep positive.
Life is hard but we all have to keep going!

Thanks for reading. Maybe someday you’ll need me to remodel something in your home or just sing you a song.

Much love

Good morning friends.
I hope everyone had a nice weekend☀️. I sure did! I got to spend time with my son in Washington DC 🇺🇸.
Being able to hangout with my son is everything to me, so I’m going to do that as often as I can!
Being a restaurant owner takes away so much of that. All I can say is NO MORE!

Now here we are,… Many have been asking and wondering what’s next for me?? Well after much thought, I’ve decided to step back into the world of construction. Yep that’s right, before I was in the “KITCHEN” I wore a tool belt! Yes I did…
For over 15 years I owned/operated A.Monsini construction. From frame to finish, We did it all 🔨 I was also a union carpenter for 10 plus years. It was a great experience and I learned a lot.

Now, here I am trying to decide what’s next. I’ve been getting asked to work for a couple of different companies. From supervisor position to management. I am truly grateful for those reaching out. I just think I need more time. I’ll know when the time is right. So for now, I’m going to once again start a small remodeling business. I’ll take it one job at a time and not get overwhelmed.

Friends, I want you to know something. I did not walk away from my restaurant with my head down. This was an experience I’ll never forget. It was a dream of mine! All I can say is I did it! I made a name for myself. I think a good name 🙂. I met a lot of great people. So for that, I am happy!

Moving forward, I have to say, Sorry…but I’m not building homes anymore. This small biz of mine will be both interior/exterior remodeling. Window replacement, painting, door replacement, gutters, kitchen, bath, demolition, gut outs. Etc..
I may even do some landscaping. Cleanups Just way to much to list. I have the resources for sub contractors if need be.

If you want to discuss a potential project and need someone you can trust please message me on my profile or shoot me an email. We will then exchange phone numbers. Thank you

Dear friends of Angelos near and Far. It pains me to do this but I have no other option.
Today is my last day of business. I tried my best to keep things rolling but it in the end it was just to hard. I could sit here and explain why for so many reasons but it’s just to much to explain. Let’s just say, inflation,Covid, pandemic had a lot to do with it.

I will say this, I did my best!! For that I am proud. I’ve met so many amazing people over the past 8 years. From local business owners to celebrities from around the world, but in the end my most favorite people were my employees. I will miss them dearly! Especially my right hand Man Travis. He is and will always be my sidekick partner. Thank you for saving me so many times.

I built my restaurant during a very difficult time in my life, my mom was very sick and at the end of her beautiful life! Yet Mom kept telling me to build. She was so proud ❤️. She was born and raised in this great town and that’s a big part of the reason I always wanted to give back.
Speaking of giving back, my last delivery tonight was to a homeless shelter 30 complimentary sandwiches. I will now leave with my head high.

Thank you Plymouth and thank you to everyone that always supported us. Bing,Bang,Boom. I’m going to need a job soon. See you around town.
