Happy Easter from Yamas Greek Eatery! 🐣🇬🇷
While Greek Orthodox Easter, Πάσχα (Pascha), isn't until next week, today we're celebrating with all of you! After all, any reason to gather around a great table is a good one.
In Greece, Easter is the biggest celebration of the year. More than Christmas, more than anything else, this is the day that brings everyone together. Families gather, tables overflow, and the words "Χριστός Ανέστη" (Christ is Risen) echo through every home and village. The midnight church service, cracking red eggs, and then the feast. It's all about community, tradition, and gratitude for the people around your table.
And the food? Greek Easter is all about the classics! Slow-roasted lamb, spanakopita, roasted potatoes with lemon and oregano, fresh pita, tzatziki, and plenty of dishes meant to be shared family-style with the people you love. Sound familiar? That's what we do every day at Yamas.
Our name means "cheers", a toast to life, to togetherness, and to sharing a great meal. Whether you're celebrating today or saving your appetite for Greek Easter next week, we'd love to have you.
We're open regular hours today, come raise a glass with us! 🥂
Καλό Πάσχα from our family to yours!
