🍞✨ SOURDOUGH FACT WEDNESDAY! ✨🍞

Did you know your sourdough starter is ALIVE?! 😲

Yep! That bubbly little jar sitting on your counter is home to naturally occurring wild yeast and beneficial bacteria. 🦠💛

When you feed your starter flour and water, those microorganisms get to work fermenting the mixture. That fermentation is what gives sourdough its:

☁️ Beautiful texture and rise
🌾 Complex flavor from a slow fermentation

I’ve been invited to participate in the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol’s Kiss-A-Pig fundraiser, and apparently my new goal in life is to get enough votes to kiss Gilbert the Party Pig! 😂

The best part is that every $1 donated = 1 vote, and all of the money raised supports local Bristol youth through the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol, Imagine Nation, and Future Champions Gymnastics. ❤️
