Our first Geocache find!
Perfect little adventure this last weekend!

We've put together a take-along Geocache bag, and we'll have our eyes peeled for future Geocaches and share about them here!

If you don't know what Geocache is, go to Geocaching.com, or and you can read more in depth.

Basically it's a mini treasure hunt.
You create an account and download the app, and it shows you coordinates to hidden boxes (caches) nearby.
There are tons of them all around us without us even knowing it!
When you find the cache, you sign the log on paper and in the app, and if there is actual treasure in the cache, (trinkets, money, collectibles, etc.) you can take something out and exchange it with something of your own.

It's a whole lot of fun for the whole family, and encourages you to be outside together and hit that goal if anyone is going for it!

Some of you may have noticed our name change from "Hawkins Full City Roast", to "Little Adventures Coffee".
We feel that this new name is more in alignment with our vision for this business.
Our plans have changed a bit, and we are so excited!

We've ran into a lot more hoops than we thought we would with selling our brewed coffee by the cup.
We are going to need a commercial kitchen, we are wanting to build a coffee cart that is more in compliance with all the county regulations, and we will need a couple of other things.
It may take time and money for us to save for these things.

But these blocks in the road gave us time to evaluate our plans, and together we thought of a new idea, that we love so much, and that really stands for everything we are about as a family.
We have a solid business plan in place!

Our content here is going to look a little different from here on out!

We will be sharing our family adventures in the outdoors, inspiring other families to go on little adventures with their kids (or even without kids), and working towards selling our coffee at trailheads, campsites, and local outdoor related events.

We're currently working on setting up a Patreon account, and we're excited to give some awesome things to our Patrons, including FREE coffee, monthly newsletters, a private online community for coffee loving adventurers, guides for adventuring with kids, giveaways, shoutouts, and more!
Did I mention FREE coffee?

We still plan on giving part of our proceeds to outdoor conservation projects, as this is something we're very passionate about!

We are so excited for this new direction! Follow us to stay in the loop, and to see all of our little adventures to come!

Happy new year from Hawkins Full City Roast!
New year, new trees to be planted, new coffees to try, and new plans on the horizon!
We are looking forward to another great year of doing what we love, and we have big ideas for this year! (Can't give away the plan just yet!)

To reflect on last year, we went from learning to roast in January, to turning it into a budding business in June.
We are so grateful to everyone who bought a bag of our coffee, wrote a review, tried our roasts in the early stages, brainstormed with us, shared our posts, prayed for us, and those who wished us well. We couldn't do this without you!

Can't wait for all the fun that 2023 has to hold!

Every time you buy a bag of coffee from us, $1 of your purchase goes toward onetreeplanted.org, an organization that plants one tree per dollar donated.

Buy a bag, plant a tree! It's that simple!

The sales for the month of October went toward planting trees to support biodiversity this month.

Reforestation will support soil health, help endangered species to have tree coverage, and supporting a range of flora and fauna.
Trees planted for this project include an array of tree species such as Terminalia arjuna, Cassis fistula, Careya arborea, Ficus racemosa, Palo de tinto (Haematoxylum campechianum), Guacimo (Guazuma ulmifolia), Palo de rosa (Tabebuia rosea), Juniperus procera, Croton megalocarpus, Prunus africana.
