What a day! We started this morning with approx 150 motorcycles and 200 jeeps, biscuits & gravy and a salute to our veterans, and ended with the Jr. High Baseball fundraiser in the venue. Thanks to everyone who came out!

As Kirsten tells her kids, when something goes not quite according to plan:

"You can be sad for a minute, but then you have to pivot... Find the good news, find the opportunity, make a plan"

The bad news yesterday was we had to close just after lunch due to the water main break, cancel karaoke, and miss out the home football game and what likely would have been a huge night for the Grainery.

The up side of being closed all day was we decided this was an excellent time for a super DEEP cleaning shift. All of the evening cooks and servers came in and tore the place apart, cleaning every nook and cranny. Scrubbing and shining the floors, pulling out fryers, getting behind appliances and finding those hard to reach places. Richard, Kirsten's Dad, showed up with paint to give the doors a much needed refresh, and painted a couple walls that needed touched up. They did an amazing job, so as a reward, Bob & Kirsten took them to dinner at Westwoods, on the house!

We'd like to give a huge shout out and THANK YOU to our team last night. The pictures below tell it all. Great job, everyone!

We are OPEN for regular business hours today!

We have water, and although still under a boil order, we have spoken with public health and have verified procedures for functioning with a boil order in place.

A couple of the slight adjustments include:

*Canned Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sprite & Bottled Water will be available at a cost per can/bottle. No refills until boil order is lifted.

*We will be serving on paper plates, plastic cups and plastic utensils while under the boil order.

*We're also supposed to post that you cannot drink the water in the bathrooms, so you'll see signage reflecting that. In other news, were people drinking the bathroom water before this? 😬🤢

UPDATE: The water main on Cartwright remains broken, so we'll be remaining closed this evening. We're hoping to start bright & fresh in the morning!

Well, this wasn't on our Bingo card for today, but Plains has had a major water line break. As a result, we have no water, and will need to temporarily close until water is restored. We REALLY are sad about this with a home football game tonight (which has now been moved to Williamsville) and Karaoke scheduled, but life happens 🥺 If we get water back soon and can reopen, we will let you know immediately! Thank you for your patience!

Next Thursday! Grainery Game Days are back and continuing through the end of the year!

We’ll open up The Grainery Venue at 1pm for an afternoon of cards, board games, and good old-fashioned friendly competition. Bring your regular group, invite some friends, or come ready to meet a few new people.

These are social, non-gambling games — think Euchre, Rummy, Uno, dominoes, board games, and whatever favorites your group likes to play.

Come early and have lunch in the restaurant, then head to the venue at 1pm and settle in for the afternoon. There’s no complicated tournament, no buy-in and no pressure — just a comfortable place to get together and play.
