"March 1 brought about a sad reality for the Chan Clan. My parents woke up and it was not an official work day. Flaming Wok was officially out of commission. It has been almost twenty years since they have had such a break. It was a grueling "vacation" to say the least. Although there was no cooking to be done, the looming task of going from a franchise to being independent is no easy walk in the

park either. Now that the dust (and thoroughly cleaned!) has settled 47 days later... China Cafe has risen and the barricade is no more! The dedication of our devout fans and the support of the public has only solidified our mission. It was business as usual on opening day April 17, 2014. Except there was a renewed sense of pride. The Chan Clan are perfectionists and masters of their craft. Having an establishment in the mall is much more than simply "working in Champlain Center" of the 12901. China Cafe is a service and commitment to the community of Plattsburgh and any who visit the area. We bring excellence, dedication, and pride in our work 362 days a year.
