For those of you who didn't know Sylvia Smith. In October of 1972 when Plainview Diner opened its doors, Sylvia was one of the first employees. She worked at the Diner for 44 years and each day with a smile on her face. She served many generations of families and was loved by all. Sylvia was part of the fabric that created Plainview Diner and everything about it. In 2016 she turned 86 and retired with immense support and love from the Plainview community and its surroundings. This past Sunday she passed at the age of 92. It was a pleasure working with and knowing this woman for so many years and we learned so much from her. R.I.P. Syl we love and miss you😢❤
