This one means a little more to us. 🥹❤️

The Coquí Kitchen has only been here since November 2025, so to find out that we didn’t just win one, but THREE Best of Greater Pittston categories is something we truly weren’t expecting.

Behind The Coquí Kitchen are the two of us:
Kiara Valenzuela: the face of the place 👩🏽‍🍼
James Bodnar: the heart of the kitchen 👨‍🍳

But anyone who comes in regularly knows this truly is a family operation. You’ve probably seen Kiara taking care of and serving everyone with Roman right there with her, many days literally baby-wearing him while she works. We welcomed Roman in January, just a couple months after opening, and Ezra has been here with us from day one as the official “mini boss.”

Building a new small business while raising our family has been one crazy adventure, and we would have been incredibly thankful to win even ONE category. To be recognized in THREE: Chef, Ethnic Restaurant, and Waiter/Waitress has us BEYOND surprised and grateful.

Every vote came from someone who chose to support our little family-owned restaurant. Someone who came through our doors, ordered a meal, told a friend about us, shared a post, left a review, or simply kept coming back.

That means more to us than we can put into words.

Farmers Market is BACK and so are our Farmers Market Specials! 🐸☕️

Stop in today, Tuesday, August 25th, from 9–11 AM for our Farmers Market specials! We’re here until 5 PM today.

🍅 PLUS today is the LAST DAY to grab our Tomato Festival Edition Specials! If you didn’t get a chance to try them over the weekend, today’s your last chance!
