It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our leader, my Mother, & owner of the FOOLS, Sue Affolder. Sue passed away Sunday, May 17th, 2026 after a short battle with Esophageal Cancer. She spent years bringing people together and building a place to enjoy each other's company and stories. She was an amazing boss, owner and most of all parent and friend.

Sue built more than just a bar. She built a place where strangers became friends, where laughter was constant, and where everyone felt welcome. Her kindness, strength, and love touched so many lives over the years.

I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support during this incredibly difficult time. It means more than words can say.

The Fools will continue to honor Sue's legacy - the friendships, the good times, and the atmosphere she created and loved so much.
