There’s something pretty special about looking around the restaurant on a Friday night and seeing tables full of people who chose to spend part of their evening with us. ❤️

Some faces we’ve gotten to know pretty well. Some are walking through our doors for the very first time.

A family sitting down for dinner. Friends catching up over margaritas. Someone trying Teocalli because a friend told them they had to. And every once in a while, someone comes back and brings somebody new with them.

Those little things mean more to us than you probably realize.

We’re still building something here on Carson Street, one table and one night at a time. And every person who eats with us, recommends us, shares a post, leaves a review, or simply comes back again is a part of that.

So before another Pittsburgh weekend gets underway, we just wanted to say thank you for continuing to give us a seat in this neighborhood.

The food will be cooking, the margaritas will be pouring, and the doors will be open tonight.

Okay… we’ve been a little quiet on here. 👀

But Teocalli definitely hasn’t been quiet.

While social media took a little break, the kitchen kept cooking, the margaritas kept pouring, and we kept seeing familiar faces — along with plenty of new ones — walk through our doors. 🌮🍹

And now it’s Thursday, September is here, football season is getting started, and another Pittsburgh weekend is right around the corner. 🏈🍂

So consider this our official “we’re back on your feed” post.

If it’s been a minute since you’ve stopped in, tonight sounds like a pretty good night to fix that. Grab some tacos, order a margarita, bring a friend, and hang out with us on Carson Street.

The prep. The cooking. The cleaning. The stocking. The phones. The deliveries. The rushes. The quiet nights. And about a hundred little things nobody ever sees.

That’s restaurant life.

And behind all of it are real people working hard every day to make Teocalli a place South Side can be proud to have on Carson Street.

We’re proud of our food, absolutely — but we’re even more proud of the people who make it happen.

So today, we just wanted to give a little recognition to the Teocalli team. ❤️

We’ve got the kitchen going, the drinks cold, and plenty of Mexican food ready whether you’re stopping in after work, bringing the family, meeting a friend, or grabbing something to take home.

❤️ South Side is our home.

Teocalli may be a restaurant, but being part of this neighborhood means a lot more to us than what happens inside our doors.

It’s the people who stop in for dinner. The local businesses up and down Carson Street. The families, neighbors, workers and organizations that make South Side what it is.

We want to be part of all of it.
