. LeMont General Manager Marco Corona has 46 years of experience at LeMont. We’re sharing some of his great stories every Monday. Let’s talk about Marco growing up on Mt. Washington and his dual careers. His 46 years at LeMont is one career. His concurrent career, until his retirement, was 32 years as an educator. He worked for 25 years as a social studies teacher and basketball coach and seven years as an assistant principal.
Marco grew up on Mt. Washington. Along with his three older brothers, he started working at LeMont in high school - in the kitchen, washing dishes and pots and pans. LeMont was a five minute walk from the Corona home.
During and after college, he continued at LeMont working as a waiter and then General Manager after his retirement from education.
"We have a unique vantage point at LeMont," says Marco. "The restaurant is as pretty inside as is the view outside. We're one big family at LeMont. It's fun to go to work. We enjoy what we do and we're good at it."
"Most importantly, we're in-tune with the community," adds Marco. "We love serving our guests and their family and watching them celebrate and interact. We know your name, your favorite drink and your preferred meal. And we enjoy celebrating your birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, weddings and special occasions. We love meeting your grandchildren."
"Our philosophy at LeMont is to treat everyone the same - our guests are the most important people in the room," concludes Marco. "Our goal is to exceed your expectations - from the time you valet your car to the service from the wait staff to the enjoyment of your drinks and dinners. We want every evening at LeMont to be one that you will always remember." www.lemontpittsburgh.com/team-lemont
