Today is our FINAL DAY serving at Strange Roots Millvale Taproom!
It’s been an absolute pleasure serving yinz here over the past five years. We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported Pittsburgh Sandwich Society along the way!
If you’ve been meaning to stop by one more time, TODAY IS THE DAY! Come aht & grab your favorite sandwich and help us close out this chapter!
After today, our truck will be taking a short break through July while we add some new equipment and take care of a little maintenance to make it even better for the road ahead.
Starting after that, you can catch us every Friday at Dancing Gnome! We’ll be popping up at other locations throughout the season. Be sure to follow us here so you don’t miss where we’ll be next!
In the meantime, you can also visit us at Winston’s Grilled Eats & Frozen Treats in Millvale for char-grilled burgers, hot dogs, fresh squeezed lemonade & frozen custard. We’d love to see you there!
From the bottom of our hearts: thank yinz for an incredible five years at Strange Roots. This isn’t goodbye by any means, just the start of our next chapter on the road & at Winston’s!❤️

We wanted to share an important update with our followers:

Due to staffing challenges at our Strange Roots location, we will be closed on Sundays for the remainder of our lease. Effective now our hours will be:
Wednesday–Friday: 4p-9p
Saturday: 12p-9p
Additionally, our final day of service at Strange Roots has been updated to Saturday, June 27th.
We know this change is disappointing and, frankly, we aren’t thrilled about it either. We sincerely apologize to everyone who has supported us and planned to visit on Sundays. Unfortunately, this is the best decision we can make to ensure we can continue providing the quality food and service you deserve during our remaining weeks. The bar will also be closed Sundays for the remainder of June.
Thank you fort your understanding, patience, and continued support. We hope yinz will stop by and see us before June 27th as we finish out this chapter together!

After five years at Strange Roots, we wanted to share that we have decided not to renew our lease. Our last day of service there will be Sunday June 28th and we’d love for yinz to come see us before then 💛

We are incredibly thankful for everyone who supported us over the years — the regulars, the brewery staff, the families, the friends, and every single person who grabbed food from us! Strange Roots gave us a place to grow, create memories, and become part of such an awesome community, and we’ll always be grateful for that chapter.

But don’t worry… Pittsburgh Sandwich Society Food Truck isn’t going anywhere! In fact, we are so back! 🚚 You can catch the truck out serving lunches around tahn and every Friday at Dancing Gnome. We’ll have our classics, specials & more! We’re also continuing to book private events and catering, so keep us in mind for parties, weddings, corporate events, and celebrations of all kinds! Keep an eye on social media as we might have something super exciting up our sleeves for the truck!

Finally, if you haven’t visited yet, we’re excited to officially invite you to our new brick & mortar: Winston’s Grilled Eats & Frozen Treats in Millvale 🍔🌭🍦 Serving nostalgic vibes with char-grilled burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, and all the comfort food goodness we love so much.
