Hey guys! One last merch sale this Thursday only 5/21, 9a to 12p at the old coffee shop. Still have a bunch of tees, totes, crew neck sweaters, hoodies, flat brim caps, diner mugs, travel mugs, reusable Keep-Cups, and Atmos coffee containers.

Apparel sizes limited. The ube tee is down to XXLs. Good stock for sweaters and hoodies. Please help me clear out this inventory. 50% off everything! Very very likely for the last and final time, 5/21 Thursday, 9a to 12p.

After over nine years of serving coffee in Shadyside, we’re finally turning the music off one last time. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have been part of the neighborhood and your lives even in just a small way. We may not have been everyone’s cup of coffee but I’m proud to say that we never wavered in our intention to share the best coffee that we could, in the best way we knew how. I am also personally very honored that you allowed me to share a little bit of my Filipino culture through the shop (though I will not miss making Thrilla sauce any time soon!). I am also deeply grateful that you helped us out whenever we asked for help in raising money for the different communities that we cherish across the city of Pittsburgh, the United States, and even the world.

We are trying to stay open at least through the end of April though that is in constant flux. We’ll be more definitive in the coming days. I’ve got a lot of coffee left to roast and shop merch to dispose of so stay tuned for some nice sales. Also, it would be my dream to hand over the reins to someone who’s always wanted their own coffee shop and is looking to be a part of this community just as much as we’ve tried to over the years. I’m very open to discussing the future of this space we’ve called home for so long and what that might look like financially, etc. If you’re serious, please feel free to reach out.

Launching a new specialty drink today — The Melting Pot! It’s an umami explosion of a latte combining some of our favorite immigrant flavor influences like Filipino (of course!), Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, and even Italian obvs! A little funk, a little spice, a little sweet, a little tart, it’s a true synergy where the wonderfully surprising sum is definitely more than its parts.

As always with a new drink, we will be sharing a portion of sales, this time with , a local Pittsburgh organization that is training and deploying rapid response teams to document ICE activity in our area and help protect our immigrant neighbors.

Shoutout to everyone participating in the general strike or helping out in other ways. Let’s remember that our strength comes from our diversity, that no human being is illegal, and that we are called to take care of the least among us.
