There’s more to come from James Cafe.
As of November 1, we’ll be closing our Strip District location as we prepare for our next chapter in Pittsburgh’s Golden Triangle.
To our regulars, our neighbors, and everyone who made James part of their day: thank you. Your familiar faces, conversations over coffee, and continued support have made our time in the Strip so special. We’re grateful you’ve been part of this journey—and we’re excited to take you along for what comes next.

Our Smallman Street space has a new chapter of its own, too. Something new and exciting will be unveiled over the next couple months!

A new home for James. Something fresh for the Strip. Plenty to look forward to. And lastly a special thanks to our staff, who have made the cafe a place people love coming back to.

MATCHA ALERT ‼️ We’re so excited to announce we’ve switched to .coffee matcha, grown in shaded lots in Shizuoka, Japan. It features notes of balanced earthy sweetness and nuttiness. Stop in and try one with our house made vanilla or lavender syrup! 🍵
