Go Lamar!

Last week, Rebecca Kiernan, CONNECT’s Director of Collaborative Funding, proudly presented on the panel titled “How Do We All Sing the Same Song? Connecting Community Voice, Research, Policy, and the Just Transition” for the University of Pittsburgh's Community Engaged Scholarship Forum.

This forum brings together faculty, staff, students, and community partners to showcase collaborative, community-focused research and projects.

Rebecca was joined by Jazmyn Rudolph from the City of Pittsburgh's Department of City Planning and Liz Monk from University of Pittsburgh's University Center for Social and Urban Research (UCSUR.) It was moderated by Lamar Davis from Café Momentum, and planned by Esmee de Cortie from University of Pittsburgh's Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation.

Since opening our doors, we’ve served 192 interns, completed over 2,000 hours of community service, provided 900 hours of financial education, and helped interns earn more than 200 restaurant industry certifications.
