INTEGRITY. To have integrity is to be dependable, reliable, and consistent. That is to say, a person of integrity will only say what they mean and will follow through on their commitments. Additionally, integrity requires one to be of upstanding character. It is the willingness to always do what is right, even when no one else is watching. Solid morals and sound ethics are the building blocks of Remember When Ice Cream, Inc. “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. – Proverbs 11:3
COMPASSION. To have compassion is to show empathy and genuine concern for the difficulties, misfortunes and suffering of others. Different from sympathy, which is often limited to feelings of pity and sorrow at the surface-level, compassion responds with a much deeper and sincerer desire to alleviate the sadness of others. In fact, compassion literally means “to suffer with.” Compassion is one of our core values because whether someone happens to be on top of the world or is struggling through a hard time, our goal is to make their day a million times better. FUN. While ‘fun’ may not be a typical core value, we felt that it is so fundamental to what Remember When Ice Cream is all about that we just had to include it. Fun is something that first captures our imagination as children. Whether it was getting our first ice cream cone or going to a local fair or carnival, ‘fun’ was something new, exciting, and it filled our little hearts with enjoyment and wonder—but fun is not something we ever grow too old to enjoy. As we grow up and grow old, those sentimental experiences are something we can recapture and relive again and again through the wonderment of nostalgia. We fully understand and appreciate that fascination—because we were kids too, once. Remember When Ice Cream is not only an ice cream shop—it is the ice cream shop we would want to visit—a place for generations to come together and enjoy a true American pastime together.
