In the midst of this heatwave in Pittsburgh, it's hard to believe that summer only starts today. What is your favorite summer memory? Mine? Making grappa with my grandfather in Abruzzo with Montepulciano grapes. The days would be so hot that I would beg my grandfather to cut the work day short so that I could go swimming. Looking back at these fond memories summer is a season of abundance and vibrancy, where nature flourishes and days stretch long, providing a perfect backdrop for growth and rejuvenation. It's a time when the warmth encourages us to step outside our comfort zones, explore new places, and create lasting memories with loved ones. The season reminds us of the cyclical nature of life, urging us to savor the present moments of light and warmth, knowing they are fleeting and precious. Here's to summer, my friend. I hope you make the most of it.

The idea of our wall feature...

In the vast expanse of Earth, we are mere specks, infinitesimally small in comparison to the grandeur that surrounds us. It's a humbling realization, recognizing our minuscule presence amidst the enormity of existence. Yet, within this humility lies beauty, for it reminds us of our interconnectedness with all that exists, prompting a sense of reverence.

We get caught up in the bustle of the doing—. It's necessary to take in your present, where you are in space and mind, to allow you to push forth.

I hope you had a great weekend. Cheers to the work week ahead.

The crunch, the flavor, the perfect blend...grab this for lunch for only $9. It will bring some much needed sunny visions of a Mexican getaway, while weathering today's rain. Oh, and don't forget the Cholula! 🌯

What would be your last meal? For me it would be a bottle of Abacus from ZD Wines and a charcuterie board with some Spanish manchego cheese. At Christian James, our rotation chef's charcuterie board is my latest obsession. This week we have Pittsburgh and Washington County represented on it.

I used to balk whenever I saw a Caesar salad on a menu. I thought it to be so primary, but the popularity of this classic has resurfaced. Perhaps it reminds us of that pinnacle in our eating career when we first consumed a Caesar salad and thought to ourselves that we were finally an adult. We were voluntarily eating our required vegetables, and therefore, we could officially say our palate has "matured". Our Grilled Caesar Salad is far more sophisticated than the average Caesar Salad, lightly brushed with olive oil, grilled over apple wood, and finished with our house-made dressing. So, shall we? Shall we enjoy this classic and reminisce about that feeling?

Our Montréal-style poutine is inspired by Chef .ashlee and the weekends she spent in Quebec as soon as she hit the legal drinking age of 18 there. So, this one is seriously Canadian, eh!

This classic dish is made with local cheese curds from Emerald Valley Artisans (Washington, PA) and topped with a serious gravy that we make in house. Wanna be totally Canadian? Ask for a side of vinegar 🇨🇦 Enjoy this with one of our draft beers like the Delirium from Belgium. Caszh and flavorsome.
