This is it, Pittsburg. After a few months of mini cakes, sold out Tuesdays, and more buttercream than any one person should legally make alone — Ashley Makes is packing up The Cake Stand and moving on to the next adventure. We couldn't leave without one last hurrah, and we're making it a party. 🎂

Saturday, July 25th at 8AM — come find us at the corner of Quincy & Walnut for the Cake Stand's final weekend. If you've been meaning to stop by, now is the time. Cakes will be restocked throughout the weekend while supplies last.

But that's not all — we're also serving up homemade banana bread, fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade and cherry limeade, freshly spun cotton candy (including a sugar free option 🩷), AND holding a moving sale with some great finds up for grabs. Come for the cake, stay for the chaos. 🫣

July might be all she wrote for us at Quincy & Walnut — but we're closing one chapter and walking straight into the next. 😏

I have some news to share and I want to be upfront about it.

After 7 years, we've been given 30 days to leave our home. It's not what I planned, and it's not what I wanted — especially not now, when the cake stand has finally started to feel like something real. The original goal of The Cake Stand was always to save toward buying a home of our own, and I wanted to stay rooted until I was ready to take that step. But sometimes life makes that decision for you, and all you can do is adapt.

So here's what that means for Ashley Makes.
The cake stand as you know it is going to look different. A fixed location isn't something I can guarantee right now — but I'm exploring pop-up events at locations around Pittsburg. If you know a business that has hosted pop-up vendors before, or that might be open to it, tag them below. 👇 I was born here. I'll probably die here. A change of address isn't going to stop me from bringing you cake. 😏

What's NOT changing: my desserts are still available at Bushel & a Peck in Girard Wednesday through Saturday. I still make a damn good cheesecake. And CANDY BAR CAKES are coming to the stand — a change in location can't stop that. 🙃

(Speaking of cheesecake, there's still some available if you need it. And honestly, you probably do. 🍰 Comment or DM to order.)

Big news for Ashley Makes. 🎂

Starting this week, I'm moving away from weekly inventory drops and into a pop-up model — limited runs, announced in advance, with details on ordering and picking up through a link in my bio!

This means fewer drops, but more intentional ones. Seasonal menus. Themed collections. The good stuff. No cakes this week while I get the new system set up — but when we're back, it's going to be worth it.

The stand at Quincy & Walnut will still be your pickup spot. 📍 Same great cakes — just a better experience getting them into your hands.

And don't worry — Ashley Makes cakes and desserts will continue to be available at Bushel & a Peck in Girard, Wednesday through Saturday. 🎉
