Well, that's a wrap! Piqua, we have had SO MUCH FUN rocking out with you all summer long at the Lock 9 concert series. We can't wait to see what the lineup is next year! 🎶

A big shout-out to the City of Piqua for organizing such a great summer of music and to all the amazing workers that showed up every weekend, stayed late, cleaned up trash, and kept things going behind the scenes with smiles on their faces. We appreciate you guys! 🫶

Hey! 📣 It's a busy weekend downtown and we have a few important announcements.

The FINAL weekend of the Lock 9 Concert series has arrived and there's not 1, but 2 concerts to enjoy. Whether country or rock is more your style - there's something for everyone! Country music tonight, rock tomorrow - don't miss it! 🤠🎸

Our family will also be participating in The Longest Table Saturday afternoon. We hope to see many familiar faces while also meeting lots of new ones at this free community event. Stop in to grab your dinner ahead of time! 🫶

‼️ To help send the last concert of the season out with a bang, we will be closing at 6 on Saturday and will not reopen until 1 on Tuesday. We encourage you to join us at Lock 9 instead, and while we try our best to avoid closures/changes in hours, (and with the majority of our employees back to school), Courtney will be joining us on The Big Dipper for Edison's Back to School Bash Tuesday morning. ✏️📓

Piqua has a wonderful commitment to community that we feel so lucky to be a part of! We have met some wonderful people that we're now privileged to call friends through various events. 🫶

With back-to-school right around the corner, we want to be fully transparent that we will have a few days where we will be adjusting hours to accommodate various events. Many of our employees will be limitedly available as they return to school and sports schedules, and while we could hire someone, we've found that it's really unfair to hire someone whose hours we can no longer support in another month or two when the season really slows down and our family transitions from working in our Big & Little Dipper to the storefront.

Being small and family-owned often means making these decisions and accommodations to best support everyone on our team. We thank you for your continued support and understanding! 🫶

Hosted by The Power Project, this FREE community event is open to all Piqua City School-aged students. Families can enjoy an afternoon filled with free book bags, haircuts, new shoes, food, games, fun activities, and more! 🎒

Be sure to grab a Kona Ice, explore the NEW PCS Bookmobile, and stop by the Piqua Indian Spirit Gear table. 🍧

🚨Book bags, shoes, and other giveaways will be distributed while supplies last. Families are encouraged to arrive early.

Storm safety reminder:

Our policy is for our staff to lock up and take shelter in our basement during active warnings. If customers are present, they are asked to shelter with us. Once the warning has expired, we then return to normal business procedures.

Safety is a priority in these situations and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding!

EVENT CANCELLATION NOTICE

Unfortunately, today’s Rockin’ River Duck Drop & Jeep Cruise-In has been canceled.

Due to the impending weather forecast, we have made this difficult decision out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of all our attendees, participants, and volunteers.

Please note that the Lock-9 Summer Concert Series has also been canceled for everyone's safety.

However, the excitement isn't completely over! Here is what you need to know about our next steps:

•Duck Drop Virtual Race: We are still picking our winners! Tune in as we go LIVE on our page at 6:00 PM tonight to draw the winning duck numbers!!

•Jeep Cruise-In: For all registered participants, our team will be reaching out to you individually via email to discuss alternate plans.

•Raffle Baskets: We have assembled some amazing raffle baskets! Stay tuned for more information regarding them as well.

We're in the shop early this morning preparing 50 lbs of pork for a boxed lunch order. 🤤

We slow cook our pork for 12 hours and then pull it by hand so it's tender, juicy, and delicious!
