As legend has it, a beaver named Barnaby T. Beaver was born in a picturesque rural town in upstate New York.

He lived a joyful life, building dams, swimming, and indulging in all sorts of flat-tailed fun. That is, until one fateful day. In a tragic logging accident, Barnaby lost his tail—and with it, his will to build dams. Feeling purposeless and rejected by his tailed brethren, he wandered the countryside, searching for meaning. Eventually, Barnaby found himself in the big city. There, he discovered a new life working for the water department, where his skills in managing waterways were deeply valued. Every day, he savored the simple pleasure of fantastic coffee, finding a new purpose and joy in the hustle and bustle of urban life. We honor the tailless Urban Beaver—and celebrate all the unique individuals out there sipping delicious coffee, finding their own paths, and thriving against the odds
