Real talk: one of my favorite perks of this job right now is getting to build my mornings around what matters most. Chai, journal, a few minutes with God before the day gets loud — and if the morning gets away from me, I just move it to the afternoon. No stress, it still happens.
But lately my quiet time hasn't just been peaceful, it's been honest. I've been wrestling with something bigger: is it time to expand? A storefront, a food truck, something more? Is there ever a "right" time?
Here's the part I don't say out loud very often: I'm scared of what it might cost. Not just money — time. The people I love. I already treasure the flexibility I have now, and growing this feels like it means less of me for them. Some days that makes me feel selfish for even wanting more. I know there will be sacrifices either way, and I don't want to make the wrong ones.
Anyone else ever feel torn between contentment and a calling? All I know how to do is keep bringing it back to Him. Not my plan, His.
Doing a devotional by Phil Wickham on the Creators of the Bible App right now and it's meeting me exactly where I am. This is one of my everyday Hallelujahs 🙌
