We are announcing today, with a degree of sadness, that the FDC is now CLOSED. It has been our desire to RETIRE for a couple of years. After doing a complete review of all the things that impact our operation, it was decided that today was the day.
Retirement has been on our mind for some time. We just never got around to doing it for various reasons. As we are not getting any younger, we decided it was time to stop putting it off. We plan to spend more time with family and friends, something we haven’t done much of in the last several years. We realize we can’t get that time back, but we’re sure going to try and make up for it!
In assessing how we should close we looked at all options. Should we announce it in advance or should we just do it? After considering all the pros and cons, we decided to just do it. We hope we made the right decision, but one never knows.
Our involvement in the community will continue. We are excited about the future of Arcadia Valley! Lots of great things coming with the bike park and significant investments in our area are happening for the first time in decades. Exciting times!
Last, but not least, other than bringing disappointment to our customers, our primary concern in closing was the impact on our employees. Most of our team has been with us for several years. They have been loyal and dedicated, doing what was required for our goals to be met. And, I can say proudly that we achieved our goals of providing excellent food, giving great service, and creating an inviting atmosphere for all of our patrons.
We will be doing what we can to support our employees while they transition to new opportunities. It won’t be easy, but there is a high demand for restaurant employees at the moment and we are confident in their ability to find an acceptable job.
We know many of you will be disappointed with the closing and we feel that. Hopefully everyone will understand the situation and our decision.
We want to express our appreciation to those that have supported our mission over the last five years with a heartfelt THANKS!! During this time, we’ve made some awesome friends and are very grateful for having had the opportunity to know and serve you. We’ll see you around!
NOTE: ANY GIFT CARD HOLDERS CAN OBTAIN A CASH REFUND FOR THE REMAINING BALANCE ON YOUR CARD(S). WE WILL BE AT THE RESTAURANT BETWEEN NOON AND 3 PM ON MONDAY, JANUARY 31, TO ISSUE REFUNDS. WE WILL ALSO MAKE A ONE-TIME EXCEPTION AND ALLOW GIFT CARDS TO BE USED TO PURCHASE MERCHANDISE IN OUR MISSOURI STORE ON MONDAY BETWEEN NOON AND 3 PM. THOSE THAT CAN’T MAKE THAT DATE TO OBTAIN THEIR REFUND OR MAKE A PURCHASE IN THE MISSOURI STORE CAN CONTACT US AT [email protected]. WE WILL WORK WITH YOU TO ENSURE YOU RECEIVE YOUR GIFT CARD CREDIT. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER FEBRUARY 15.
