***PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT***

The Union Pacific Big Boy steam locomotive will be coming through the township tomorrow between 4pm and 630pm. If you’ve seen it anywhere else on social media, it is quite a spectacle!

People have been flocking to local areas near the tracks to get a view of the locomotive. This post is intended to notify rail fans that the area around the Valley Forge Sewer Authority, Delaware Valley Paving and JC Pool and Spa is either privately owned or limited access not open to the public.

Believe us, we get that this is a prime viewing spot. Facebook guy himself has spent hours writing reports in this area just to see the freight trains go by in the middle of the night.

We’re telling you this so you can plan ahead! Please do not come to this area tomorrow hoping to get a prime seat because you won’t be permitted to the area around the tracks. Check out some of the public areas in Phoenixville Borough or the Valley Forge Park so you don’t miss your chance to see this massive feat of engineering!
