Friends and family of Dirty Pickin’ Roasting,
It’s been quite a roasting journey with all of you over the past 3 years. I’ve spent many long hours testing, tasting, and perfecting the beans that many of you have tasted and hopefully loved! It has been challenging, exciting, and always a learning experience.
Unfortunately, Dirty Pickin’ will be taking a break from coffee production for the foreseeable future as I navigate a new chapter of my life.
Thank you all for being on this journey with me the past few years! Hopefully you see this logo again in the future ready to tackle something even bigger!

Much Love,
Derek at Dirty Pickin’ Roasting

Trying out my first blend! Single origins are amazing. But every now and then you just want a smooth, easy to down cup in the morning.
I'll be tweaking the recipe over the next few weeks here before a release to the public, but super excited for the Dirty Pickin' Roasting Signature roast debut!
Keep an eye out for sales on this one when it comes to it!

After the time lapse of the roasting, it was asked to have a time lapse of me controlling the roast.
So here I am messing with a sample roast of a Costa Rican bean

I had some real fun experimenting today with making my first blend.
I took some cool vids and pics I'll get up this week, but to wet the appetite, a glamour shot

Getting ready to try some samples out for the next round of new bean to offer.
On the docket:
Kenyan
Guatemalan
Costa Rican
Peruvian

So far I have roasted the Kenyan in a medium-light and medium dark roast.
This morning we tried the medium dark. It was a super smooth chocolate front and cherry back taste. Definitely a winner.
If any of you want a say in the next round of beans offered, leave a comment!

Woke up this morning to start roasting before the heat sets in.
Roasted some Papau New Guinea medium lights. It was the first time roasting this bean, so there's always a learning curve.
Here's the finished product being shipped out! It looks, smells and tastes (I may have eaten a bean....) delicious.
