staurant service industry. She had always been interested in the coffee industry and didn’t want to give up the opportunity to meet new people every day. Oasis is the only coffee shop in central Phoenix that offers customers a traditional Eritrean coffee ceremony. Aisha buys all-natural green coffee beans directly from Ethiopian farmers and roasts them locally in the Phoenix valley. Oasis also sells the beans to many local and regional coffee shops. The tea offered at A.T. Oasis comes from all over the world as well, including east Africa and Morocco. The shop’s signature chai showcases all-natural spices imported from Eritrea, Ethiopia and around the world. The same spices are used in all of the homemade food served at A.T. Oasis, from the sambusas to full mudammas, in which only fresh ingredients are used. For Aisha, a neighborhood coffee shop is a way she can give back to her adopted country. It’s why she pours her heart and soul into each and every cup.
