Dear Sierra Bonita Family,
As you know, when restaurant dining rooms were issued to be closed, we elected to temporarily suspend operations at Sierra Bonita Grill. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the restaurant will remain closed indefinitely. The restaurant has been a fixture in the North Central Phoenix community for over a decade, so this was not an easy decision. Due to the circumstances of the events that have transpired over the past two months, the financial burden on our operations has been too great to overcome.
We are so very grateful for everyone who has supported us over the past 15 years. Because of you, Sierra Bonita Grill embodied everything that is a locally owned, neighborhood hangout. Many of you were diehard regulars who were not only our loyal guests, but you became our friends and extended family. We will miss all of you dearly.
While this announcement is very sad, we do have some positive news that should ease the cravings for your Sierra Bonita favorites. Sierra Bonita Catering, which is owned-and-operated by my wife, Kim, is still flourishing and will remain in operation. Although large group gatherings have been put on hold, we have partnered with Sierra Bonita Catering on their take-and-reheat meals, which have been a huge hit over the past several weeks. Sierra Bonita Catering will continue to offer individual grab-and-go meals, from a weekly changing menu which includes old favorites from Sierra Bonita Grill (think Red Chile Pork and Buttermilk Chicken), as well as new and creative fare from their talented culinary team.
Everything at Sierra Bonita Catering is made entirely from scratch, and they are following strict COVID-19 guidelines to ensure everyone remains safe and healthy. Currently, orders are being taken via phone and email and must be placed by Wednesday at noon every week. Soon, Sierra Bonita Catering will be launching an online store where you can quickly and easily place your orders.
