We take a mindful approach to sourcing, monitoring the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch endangered species list and buying directly from small producers around the world who engage in sustainable fishing and oyster farmi

ng practices. We fly their catch into our kitchens every day. That means hand-picked Louisiana blue crab for our famous crab cakes and Ora King salmon in our sushi. The daily raw bar menu is time-stamped and continuously updated to reflect the freshness of our seafood and market vegetable selections. Our commitment to quality goes far beyond seafood. Steaks come from our special Buck & Rider Reserve beef program: USDA certified, aged, and cut to our specifications. Our cocktails follow the same ingredient-driven philosophy, made with hand-squeezed juices and premium spirits. What makes us fish fanatics? Part of our team hails from Louisiana, where fishing and crabbing are a way of life. Since January 2025, Alex has been a key part of the Buck & Rider North Scottsdale leadership team—starting as a Front-of-House Manager and then promoted to General Manager!

What drives him most is the high level of accountability and communication across the board, along with the active team service model that ensures collective success. When the whole team is winning, everyone thrives.

His go-to order? The B&R Reserve Steak Salad—light, refreshing, and always satisfying. And for a cocktail, he’s all about the Barrel-Aged Old Fashioned: perfectly executed and a must-try for whiskey lovers.
