As much as I definitely could get a handful of viewers with a Netflix US documentary… let’s shove the lil’ joke to the side for a hot minute!
Because what you see on here is the “pretty” side.
The food. The events. The awards. The business I’ve built.
What you don’t see is everything happening behind the scenes while I’m doing all of that.
I was freshly postpartum, figuring out motherhood, going through a divorce, dealing with a lot of things I never thought I’d have to deal with, and still trying to show up for my clients and build this business.
If we met in the end of 2024 or during 2025… I was in the middle of heartbreak avenue!!
There were days I was answering emails, taking client calls, and planning menus while my personal life felt like it was completely falling apart.
On the other end of those intake phone calls, I was living a nightmare.
I questioned myself as a mother, a human, and as a business owner.
That’s the part I’m still learning to heal from.
But somewhere in the middle of all of that, something really cool happened.
I got better.
I got better at my craft. I got better at running my business. I built systems. I became more confident. I became a better mom.
Not because things were easy. Because they weren’t.
The cliché stuff they say about mindset changes after having kids?
TRUE.
It’s not just me I’m making this life for anymore.
But behind every dish I make and every event I create is a human who has fought really hard to build this life.
And if you’ve supported my business in any way before, during & STILL, thank you a million 🥹
You’re not just supporting a chef.
You’re supporting me building something for Jax and showing him that you can start over and still create something beautiful. 🤍
ILY!!!
