Hi community!!
I wanted to share something really close to my heart…
For the first time, we’re making capirotada and bringing a little piece of Mexico to Ahwatukee. This is one of those desserts that takes me right back to my childhood—Lent season, the kitchen smelling sweet, and watching my mom or later my mother in law put it together with so much love.
Capirotada isn’t just dessert, it carries so much meaning. The bread represents the body of Christ, the syrup the sweetness of life, the cheese brings everything together, the cinnamon and clove represents the cross, and the spices remind us of the story behind the season. But for me… it’s also about those moments at home, the warmth, and the people we miss the most 🤎
We made ours with cinnamon raisin bread, sweet syrup, toasted nuts, coconut, pears, guava, and cheese. It’s warm, comforting, and honestly… it just feels like home.
We’ll only be making small batches this week, so if you’d like one, send me a message or call to preorder 🤎
$13 each
I’d love for you to try it, share it with your family, and maybe bring back a few memories too.
