One of the exciting parts about making chocolate by starting with the bean is that we can dial in what we think the most desirable flavor notes are through our roasting process. Not only does each crop from each origin have distinct flavors from one another, but we find that each crop has a kaleidoscope of flavors depending on how it's roasted.

We love our Haiti Pisa cacao beans! Produits Des Iles SA (PISA) launched their processing facility in 2014 making a revolutionary change in the way the cacao industry worked in Haiti by offering the first high quality Haitian cacao to the US market. PISA partners with farmers to give them what they really need: pricing transparency, a consistent market and an elimination of risk. We love partnering with PISA and playing a small role in supporting the changing system that has begun to reduce structural inequities in Haiti.

We’re thrilled to share that we have received our first award! Our Latte Bar was awarded silver in the 2022 Academy of Chocolate Awards in the white chocolate bean to bar flavored category! We love making chocolate and feel very grateful to be a part of the craft chocolate industry that is full of so many creative and inspiring makers. We are humbled by this honor. It feels fitting that our first award is for the chocolate bar that brings together our two loves: coffee and chocolate!!

We’re thrilled to share that you can now find our chocolate bars ! All locations will be stocked with our Latte, Pretzel and Raspberry bars. We love to shop at Mom’s and are so excited to be featured on their shelves!

In our current collection, we have 5 bars that show off the inherent flavor of their origin with only three ingredients (cacao, sugar, cocoa butter). Guatemala Lachúa, Haiti Pisa, Nicaragua La Colonia, Uganda Semuliki and Philippines Malah Na Bulong. We love watching people try them side by side and discover how wide of a spectrum the flavor of chocolate can have.

We're coming to the end of the last harvest of our Cafe Femenino Colombia Cosurca. We have loved its unique notes of hibiscus, citrus and red wine and we love the way it empowers female growers. Get some before it's gone! We’ve tagged the local retailers where you can find this particular coffee, but it’s also available in our online store.

We love to start our day with a cup of one of our Ethiopian coffees! Known as some of the best coffees in the world, Ethiopian beans can boast unmatched bright, fruity, floral, complex flavors. We always make sure to have a couple in stock at all times. Try our Sidamo or Yirgacheffe and see what you think!
