Our Duck for Two is baring its feathers for a stripped-down, unseen view of what makes our signature dish so special. 🦆🌟

It starts with a dry spice blend of Szechuan, lavender, and coriander. Next, our wings get a lacquering of honey fresh from the honeycomb. 🍗🍯

Bing cherries and dried Asian pears are poached in hibiscus and vanilla, while a vin de prunes sauce simmers on the side. Fiddlehead ferns and grilled ramps complete the dish for a local, seasonal touch. 🍒🌱

Last but certainly not least to meet, Chris Harrop! 🍹

Chris has been the bar manager at Forsythia for a little over a year now. He came in with a passion and energy that translates to crushable cocktails and imaginative interpretations. He’s quick with the comebacks and knows how to make you feel like family from the first visit forward. (Psst- ask him about his house made amaros!) 🥃✨

🌾 What brought him to Forsythia: Chris was always an admirer from afar of Chef Kearse’s talent and ambition. When a positioned opened for our bar manager, he excitedly jumped in to work alongside Chef. Together, the drinks complement the food by using similar ingredients and techniques shared in house. 🤝

Mariah is our AM Sous Chef, holding things down in the early hours before opening to make sure service is ready to go! You can taste the love and care in every dish she makes, and that makes all the difference. You’ll always hear her laughing or singing throughout the kitchen 🎶
