We’re excited to share that this Sunday, November 30th, Chef Carlos will bring his talents from Ogawa to Post Haste for a special collaborative tasting menu.

This one-night-only menu will carry a spirit distinct from Ogawa’s omakase — a bit more rebellious and casual, while still rooted in the same commitment to exceptional ingredients, passion, and care that define the Ogawa experience.

Chef Carlos will also be teaming up with Post Haste’s Chef Ari Miller to create several collaborative dishes. Guests can expect deeply flavorful fish, umami-rich broths and sauces, fresh reinterpretations of classic Japanese preparations through Chef Wills’ personal lens, and feature plates like tuna tartare, uni pasta, miso mussels, chicken karaage, and more.

We can’t wait to share this special evening with you.

Ogawa is proud to take part in the very first Chomp for CHOP!

This week-long fundraiser brings together dozens of incredible Philly restaurants to support Food Pharmacy Program, which provides nutritious food to families in need.

Created by Abbe Stern, CHOP’s Food Pharmacy Manager, the goal is to raise $50,000 to help fight food insecurity in our community.

At Ogawa, each season finds its voice in what we serve.

At Ogawa, even the most time-honored ingredients are treated with quiet precision — not only for their flavor, but for the season they speak to.

Kohada, a silver-skinned gizzard shad, is one of the most traditional bites in the Edomae style. Cured first with salt, then gently with rice vinegar, it rests for at least a day — though some will wait up to ten — allowing its rich, clean flavor to fully bloom.

In fall, kohada is especially prized. The fish grows plump and fatty as the waters cool, offering a depth that lingers, yet never overwhelms.
