Manayunk Tavern opened its doors on November 12, 2007, in the space formerly occupied by Mainly Desserts, Fishtank on Main, and Sole' Osteria Italiana. Keough, the Tavern quickly found it's own niche on the historic and happening Main Street of Philadelphia's Manayunk section. At the Tavern you'll find moderately priced, upscale-casual comfort food, accompanied by beers and wines from around the c

Well it has come to that time friends... ownership HAS officially changed hands and we want to say Bye 👋 to all of you amazing folks who have made us who we are since 2007!!! ❤️ Thank you to each and every ONE of you who have made us your friends and family over these years....

THE KING IS DEAD. LONG LIVE THE KING. It is with both sadness for what we’re leaving behind and excitement for what the possibilities of the future hold that we announce that the Manayunk Tavern has officially changed hands after a 15 1/2 year run under our watch. We wish the best of luck and decades of success to new owners David and Ana Lee as they grow their JAWN empire. Many thanks and much love to the countless “regulars”(you know who you are) that made the Tavern so special over the years, many of whom became friends. A special thank you to Adrienne Maitland-Laguda and Joe Laguda for their dedication and hard work in making and maintaining what became the Tavern family. Our decade and a half run on the “best corner in Philly to see and be seen” wouldn’t have been possible without them.

McGillin's served green beer (for the Eagles & St. Patrick’s Day) & blue beer (for Villanova) but in its 162 years the historic tavern has NEVER served RED BEER - until today
